Masayuki Nakano and Michiyuki Kawashima got their big break in Europe in 1997 as a new rock combo. Combining both rock music and electronics, they created one of the best new types of Japanese music. The European music magazine “Melody Maker” heralded them as “The Chemical Brothers, a blast from new prodigies!” they appeared in numerous major European rock festivals, and embarked on overseas tours with rave reviews from many media sources.In the Fuji Rock Festival 07 they headlined White Stage, and released their 6th album “Exposed”. In their previous Japan Tour 08 they sold out every performance. In the same year, two of their songs were used in the Hollywood movie “The Dark Night” (sequel to the movie Batman) and “Exposed” was released nationwide in the US. Summer Sonic was performed in a huge venue; the Marines baseball stadium in Chiba, the audience was blown away.On January 27th of last year the members choose various songs, remixed and mastered them to launch their first best album release, “19972007”.On May 26th, they released their first new album in two and a half years, “TO THE LOVELESS”. On June 16th they began their JAPAN TOUR 2010 1st Stage LIVE HOUSE TOUR nationwide in 17 locations, their tickets sold out so quickly that the difficulty to find one was a topic of conversation everywhere.Then on September 17th, in a historical first for the band, they embarked on their first arena tour, their 2nd STAGE TOUR.Since their debut until the present time, proud of their reputation as innovative artists in the music world, they continue to create new compositions and remixes.
